About the Role: The Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP), the Self-Regulatory Organization for Pakistan’s fund management industry, is seeking an experienced internal audit professional to lead its independent Internal Audit function. This is a high-impact opportunity to work closely with senior management and the Board’s Audit, Accounts, Budget & Risk Management Committee, while contributing to stronger governance, risk management, regulatory compliance and internal controls across MUFAP. Roles & Responsibilities: - Develop and execute MUFAP’s risk-based internal audit plan.
- Conduct operational, financial, compliance, governance and process audits.
- Evaluate internal controls, governance processes and risk-management systems.
- Assess compliance with applicable SECP requirements, MUFAP regulations, policies and SOPs.
- Identify operational, regulatory, compliance and governance risks.
- Prepare and present clear, practical audit reports and recommendations.
- Monitor implementation of audit observations and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support regulatory inspections.
- Recommend improvements in controls, processes, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Develop, maintain, and periodically review MUFAP’s Internal Audit Charter, audit universe and risk-based annual audit plan.
- Assess technology, cybersecurity, data-governance and information-system controls, directly or through appropriate specialists.
What We’re Looking For: - At least five years of relevant experience in internal audit, finance, compliance, accounting, governance, risk management, or internal controls.
- Must meet the applicable requirements of the Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2019.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, ACMA, CIA, CFE or CICA will be preferred.
- Experience in independently managing an internal audit function will be an advantage.
- Experience within financial services, capital markets, NBFCs, AMCs, pension funds, banks or other SECP-regulated entities will be preferred.
- Strong analytical, report-writing, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- High standards of independence, objectivity, integrity and confidentiality.

Senior Research Analyst‑Policy & Regulatory Research
About the Role: The Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP), the Self-Regulatory Organization for Pakistan’s fund management industry, is seeking an accomplished research professional to lead policy and regulatory research that contributes to industry development and regulatory decision-making. This is a high-impact opportunity to develop evidence-based policy recommendations, produce influential MUFAP publications, and work closely with regulators, policymakers, MUFAP’s Board and senior industry leaders. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead policy and regulatory research assignments from analysis through to recommendations, publications and stakeholder presentations.
- Analyse regulatory, economic and market developments affecting mutual funds, pension funds and capital markets.
- Benchmark Pakistan’s regulatory framework against international regulators, SROs and global best practices.
- Prepare policy papers, consultation responses, regulatory submissions, analytical reports and advocacy proposals.
- Develop practical, evidence-based recommendations for engagement with regulators and policymakers.
- Prepare briefing materials and presentations for MUFAP’s Board, committees and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to regulatory consultations, industry working groups and policy discussions.
- Prepare research reports, thought-leadership articles and investor-education publications.
What We’re Looking For: - Master’s or MPhil in Economics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, Law or a related field preferred.
- CFA or another relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
- 5-6 years of experience in policy research, regulatory analysis, economic research, equity or investment research, advisory or financial-sector analysis.
- Strong analytical writing, policy drafting and presentation skills.
- Sound understanding of financial markets, economic policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to translate complex issues into clear, practical and persuasive recommendations.
- Ability to independently manage research assignments and deliver high-quality outputs.

Senior Manager Human Resources
About the Role: The Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP), the Self-Regulatory Organization for Pakistan’s fund management industry, is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR professional to lead its Human Resources function. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead MUFAP’s Human Resources function and work closely with the CEO and the Board’s Human Resources & Remuneration Committee. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing MUFAP’s approved HR framework, leading recruitment and onboarding, managing performance appraisals, supporting employee wellbeing and development, overseeing HR operations, and serving as Secretary to the Committee. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding and probation management.
- Implement MUFAP’s approved HR policies, compensation framework and employee benefits.
- Review HR policies, compensation and benefits structures annually and recommend updates for management and HR&R Committee consideration.
- Manage the annual performance-appraisal cycle, including objective setting, evaluations and performance calibration.
- Coordinate employee learning, professional development, and succession-planning initiatives.
- Monitor employee engagement, well-being, retention, and workplace concerns, and implement practical initiatives to maintain a positive, respectful, and high-performing work environment.
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters fairly and confidentially.
- Administer employee benefits, insurance, leave, attendance, and personnel records, and provide relevant employee information to Finance for payroll processing.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics and recommendations for management and the HR&R Committee.
- Serve as Secretary to the HR&R Committee, including preparation of agendas, working papers, minutes and implementation updates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, governance requirements and approved HR policies.
What We’re Looking For: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
- CHRP, SHRM, CIPD or another relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive HR experience including recruitment, performance management, employee development and HR operations.
- Experience independently managing or leading an HR function will be preferred.
- Experience in financial services, regulated entities, professional bodies or corporate organizations will be an advantage.
- Experience supporting a Board-level Human Resources & Remuneration Committee will be preferred.
- Strong communication, report-writing, minute-writing and stakeholder-management skills.

Assistant Manager‑Finance & Reporting
About the Role: Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP), the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) for Pakistan’s fund management industry, is seeking a qualified and motivated professional to join its Finance Department. The position will primarily be responsible for MUFAP’s financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and related finance functions. Roles & Responsibilities: - Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in compliance with the applicable IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare presentations and reports for the Board and the Audit Committee.
- Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, annual, and rolling budgets, including variance analysis and reporting of actual results against budget.
- Oversee the investment of surplus funds to maximize returns while adhering to the approved investment policy.
- Co-ordinate with the external and internal auditors and facilitate audit assignments.
- Review day-to-day financial transactions and payments to ensure appropriate accounting treatment, tax compliance, and withholding tax deductions in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of periodic tax statements, returns, and other regulatory submissions.
- Assist in the implementation, review, and ongoing monitoring of internal controls and governance processes.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the CFO from time to time.

Candidates with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance within the financial services, asset management, or regulated sectors will be preferred. |
